Stewardson Hosts Not So Silent Night
29 November 2012 Stewardson Hosts Not So Silent Night
The Stewardson Society will host a holiday event for the Classes of 2013 who have donated to the society. The Not So Silent Night party will be held on Friday, Nov. 30 at Beef & Brew, located at 293 Main Street, from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.
In addition to music by DJ Steve, great company and drink specials, members of the society will be celebrating the season in their finest of holiday style. Best dressed wins a $50 gift card prize.
While this event is for members only, it is not too late to make a gift to the Stewardson Society. The donation of $20.13 not only serves to underscore the commitment and legacy of the Classes of 2013, but also allows seniors to gain access to exclusive events and celebrations that will take place throughout the year.
Members of the senior class will be tabling in the Scandling Campus Center on Fridays during lunch throughout the semester, or gifts can be conveniently made online at www.hws.edu/srgift. Donations will be gladly accepted at the door of the event.
The Colleges senior class giving initiative began in the late 1980s and was formally named The Stewardson Society during the 2006-2007 academic year. Each consecutive year since its inception, it has increased in number of dollars raised as well as in participation. Named for the first president of the coordinate Hobart and William Smith Colleges, the Stewardson Society immortalizes Rev. Langdon Stewardsons dedication in bringing Hobart and William Smith Colleges together.
