About a year ago, Susan Dreifuss 07 co-founded a small design business called Kaye Rachelle Designs. With partner Bonnie Whitfield, Dreifuss creates designs that are screen printed onto home goods that include pillows, table runners, hand towels and placemats.
Each design has a story and all of them are printed by hand, explains Dreifuss.
Recently, the owners were contacted by Fox Business to participate in a segment on Your Money, Your Questions discussing how to make it as a small business in todays economy.
Dreifuss graduated from William Smith College with a B.A. in Studio Art, with Honors. She minored in Media and Society and Art History. She earned her MFA in printmaking from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, N.Y., this spring, and her advanced teaching certification in art and design education for grades K-12. She mainly creates large scale brightly colored multiple block woodcut prints that explore the unconscious mind.
More information about Dreifuss is available on her website.
