23 October 2009 Scott 67 Writes of Fierce Leadership

Susan Scott 67 has recently written a second book about leadership, Fierce Leadership: A Bold Alternative to the Worst Best Business Practices of Business Today.

Scott teaches readers how to spot the worst best practices in their organizations using a technique she calls squid eye-the ability to see the tells or signs that businesspeople have fallen prey to disastrous behaviors by knowing what to look for.

Her extensive work over a decade with Fortune 500 executives has provided Scott with information about how businesses are run today. She offers alternatives to the so-called best practices of businesses.

Fierce Leadership has distilled valuable real life experiences and provides a clear roadmap for leaders, managers, employees, or any group of people working together to make positive change, says Geri D. Palast, Former U.S. Assistant Secretary of Labor and Executive Director, Campaign For Fiscal Equity.

Fierce Leadership has been well received and is ranked No. 4 on the Wall Street Journals Hardcover Business Bestseller List as well as fourth on the New York Times Advice, How-To & Miscellaneous Bestseller List.

Scott graduated from William Smith with a B.A. in English. She is the founder of Fierce, Inc., a global training company and also author of Fierce Conversations: Achieving Success at Work & in Life One Conversation at a Time. She lives in Seattle, Washington.
