Are you interested in cooking or learning about food from around the world? Stop by and listen to world-renowned Mexican chef, restaurateur and cookbook author Roberto Santibaez. Santibaez will be welcomed to campus on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 26 and 27, as part of Sodexos Signature Chef Series.

On Monday, Santibaez will speak and sign books in the Cellar Pub from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and in the Great Hall of Saga from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. He will be in the Scandling Center Common Room on Tuesday from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.

He is an award-winning chef who studied at the renowned Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. He has served as executive chef in restaurants in England, including at the Henbury Estate in Cheshire; his native Mexico, and the U.S. Additionally, he has cooked for the Foreign Affairs Ministry in Mexico. Currently, he is the culinary partner for Carlos Santanas Maria restaurants in California, Arizona, and Texas. He is also the culinary consultant for Revolucion Restaurant in terminal five at JFK Airport, in New York, as well as other culinary institutions around the world.

Santibaezs recipes have been published in leading food magazines such as Bon Appetit and Gourmet. He has traveled extensively as an ambassador for Mexican cuisine and has presented lectures and presentations at esteemed culinary institutes worldwide.

The Signature Chef Series is sponsored by Sodexo, the dining services provider to Hobart and William Smith Colleges. The series aims to bring authentic flavors and chefs from around the globe to campus.
