18 September 2009 Flanagan takes second in Brockport Invitational

Hobart senior Ben Flanagan finished second out of 58 runners in the Brockport Cross Country Invitational today. As a team, the Statesmen finished fourth out of five teams.

Flanagan covered the 5-kilometer course in 15 minutes, 53.45 seconds, just 7.41 seconds behind the winner from Geneseo. First-year Briton Claridge and senior Tom Harty were the next Statesmen across the line, finishing in 17:21 and 17:33, respectively.

Hobart is back in action when the Statesmen host their annual invitational at noon on Sept. 19.
