To be named a CSA Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must be a two-time varsity letter winner, a junior or a senior, and own a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better. Recipients must also have played in at least 75 percent of the squash teams scheduled matches.
A psychology major, Haseotes posted a 7-7 individual record this winter, including a 4-0 mark at No. 8. She finished her career with a three-game winning streak, defeating all three of her opponents at the Howe Cup by scores of 3-0. Haseotes closed out her career with a 12-17 record, and is a two-time Liberty League All-Academic selection.
Peterson, a history major, finished her career with a 19-17 career record. She ended the season on a three-match winning streak as well, posting scores of 3-0, 3-2, and 3-1 against her Howe Cup opponents. Peterson notched a 9-10 overall mark, mainly splitting time between No. 6 (3-2) and No. 7 (5-6). She also is a two-time Liberty League All-Academic pick.
William Smith (9-10) wrapped up the 2008-09 season by bringing home the Epps Cup, the D Division of the Howe Cup, last weekend. The Herons posted victories over Wellesley 9-0, Georgetown 8-1, and Northeastern 6-3, to earn their third title in the past four years. In 2006 and 2007 William Smith won the Walker Cup (C Division).
