31 March 2009 Own a piece of history, support a good cause

The Hobart hockey team enjoyed a record-setting 2008-09 season and fans have an opportunity to own a piece of Statesmen history and support a good cause. A limited number of Hobarts special Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) jerseys are still available for purchase.

The Statesmen debuted the sweaters, which bear the logo of the WWP, on Jan. 24 and wore them all the way to the NCAA Semifinals in Lake Placid, N.Y., raising awareness for the WWPs mission along the way.

Hockey Helpers, the community service organization created by senior defenseman Ryan Adler, is selling the jerseys for $100 to support the WWP and its mission of providing assistance to severely wounded U.S. military personnel in their transition to civilian life.

For more information, or to inquire about how to purchase a jersey, e-mail Ryan Adler.

Hobart finished the season with a 21-7-2 record, the most wins and highest winning percentage (.733) in the programs history.
