Job Search Boot Camp
17 February 2009 Job Search Boot Camp
The economic times are tough, and for those who need to find a job, the real world is competitive. But the Career Services Office wants to help. Starting Monday, Feb. 23, Career Services will host a four-day Job Search Boot Camp: Marketing Yourself in a Tough Economy.
Our office is working very hard to be proactive in helping students during this tough economic time, says Brandi Ferrara, associate director of the Salisbury Center for Career Services. We hope this workshop will be a reality check for students. Their job search isnt going to be easy this year, and they need to be prepared to market themselves.
The boot camp will cover all the basics knowing what kind of job you want and why, understanding the resources available to you, and getting your foot in the door. In addition, there will be information on the Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, and additional schooling, as well as preparation on how to present yourself in a resume and interview.
