3 February 2009 Gathering to Remember

Dear Members of the Hobart and William Smith Colleges Community,

Since learning of the death of Warren Kim Kimber 11, many of us have sought solace in one anothers company, in the advice of the Deans and Chaplain, and through the Center for Counseling and Student Wellness.

On Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m., I invite all members of the Colleges community to attend a Memorial Service in honor of Kim. The Service will take place at Trinity Church located at 520 South Main Street (see walking directions below). The Memorial Service will be an opportunity for us to gather as a community to honor Kims life.

Chaplain Adams has been working with Kims friends to prepare the Services program. If anyone has any suggestions or reflections, please contact her at ladams@hws.edu.

I urge all of you to continue to reach out to one another during this difficult time and to take advantage of the many services the Colleges offer. I hope to see you Wednesday night.

Walking Directions to Trinity Church:

Walk north on South Main Street toward downtown Geneva. Once you cross the overpass, Trinity Church is on your left. The address is 520 South Main Street. The service will begin at 7:30 p.m. Refreshments will be available afterward.
