12 December 2008 Betti Green receives Susan Shearer Award

Betti Green, nurse practitioner and coordinator of Hubbs Health Center, has recently been honored with the Susan Shearer Award by the New York State College Health Association (NYSCHA). The award, according to NYSCHA, is given in honor of Susan Shearer, FNP, to an individual who has demonstrated leadership, dedication and vision for college health.

This award is a recognition of Bettis leadership and contributions to collegiate health care both at Hobart and William Smith Colleges and at the state and national level, saysRobert Flowers, vice president for student affairs. Bettis knowledge, leadership and compassion have served our students and our campus extremely well. I can think of no person more deserving of this recognition than Betti Green.

Green has been at HWS since 1984; her son Joshua is a 1995 graduate of Hobart College.
