8 July 2007 Colleges Mourn Loss

The Colleges received the very sad news that Ralph Springstead 47 died at his home on Monday. A highly respected member of the Geneva community, Mr. Springstead was one our most dedicated and beloved alumni. He was a dear friend to these Colleges, and he will be terribly missed.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Honorary Trustee Barbara 57, L.H.D.'90 and family.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 14 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Geneva.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ralph and Barbara Springstead Scholarship Fund at Hobart and William Smith Colleges or to Trinity Church.
