Kanate Dahouda, HWS assistant professor of French and Francophone Studies, had an article published in the recent issue of L'Annee Francophone Internationale.
His article discusses political, economic, social and cultural issues that the residents and government of the Republic of Ivory Coast dealt with during 2005.
Dahouda also participated in February roundtable discussions of Aime Cesaire of Martinique and Leopold Sedar Senghor of Senegal as figures of Humanism and Liberty at a program in Montreal, sponsored by Vues d'Afrique.
He holds bachelor's and post-master's degrees from the National University of the Ivory Coast, and a doctorate from University Laval in Quebec. He joined the HWS faculty in 2001.
