Greg Lord began as a horticulturalist at the Staten Island Botanical Garden in 1994 and was recently promoted to be the garden's executive director. He was featured in the July 28 Staten Island Advance. According to the paper Lord is only the second salaried full-time executive director in the garden's nearly 25-year history.
