Thelma Pinto, director of the Self Instructional Language Program, attended the annual meeting of The African Literature Association Conference at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wis.

She chaired a panel titled South African Women's Voices: The Writer and the Critic and presented the paper Righting/Rewriting South African Women's Stories.
