President Mark Gearan was quoted in an editorial by Erica Bryant about today's youth activism. The article appeared in the Democrat and Chronicle on Jan. 23, 2004.

Gearan says that todays young adults arent asking, How can I change the entire world? but, How can I change my part of the world? As a result of reaching for more realistic goals, Teach for America applications are skyrocketing. Making a difference in the lives of 25 children seems doable.
