George Joseph, Professor of French and Francophone Studies gave a talk titled Anesthetics for Pain: Women's Tattooing Songs from Kajoor at a conference titled Women's Songs in West Africa held at Princeton University from May 2-4. The conference brought together scholars working together under a National Endowment for the Humanities Collaborative Research Grant.
