17 April 2003 McGowan Presents on Deir Yassin and the Nakba

Daniel McGowan, professor of economics, presented Deir Yassin and the Nakba as part of a two-day conference at MIT titled Palestinian Resistance and Zionist Colonization: The History and Future of the Struggle for a Free Palestine. Advocating a one-state solution, McGowan's remarks were warmly received by all, including two rabbis from the Neturei Karta (www.nkusa.org). Rabbi Weiss and Rabbi Feldman agreed to advise McGowan on a new Web site he is creating to acknowledge the efforts of Jews who defend the human rights of Palestinians and their right to equal citizenship in the land between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River.
