In the March issue of Baseline Magazine is a full feature article titled A Year in the Life of a Greeting Card about the American Greetings card company. Trustee Jim Spira '64 is the president and chief operating officer of American Greetings and David Beittel '70 is the senior vice president for creative at American Greetings. Both were profiled in the article: Spira has helped guide the company's e-greetings and scan-based trading initiatives, and Beittel has supervised processes for speeding up the time it takes to create replacement designs for cards at the end of their lives.
