The American Anthropological Association will honor 10 scholars during its annual meeting. Judith-Maria Buechler, professor of anthropology, and Hans Buechler, a professor of anthropology at Syracuse University, will be recognized with the Conrad Arensberg Award for their research on work and the human condition. The award was announced in the Nov. 20 Chronicle of Higher Education story Anthropological Association to Honor 10 Scholars.
Buechler has also researched the economic transformation of Eastern Germany in agriculture and small scale industrialization in Sachsen Anhalt, through a Fulbright senior research grant.
