Peter Cummings, professor of English and comparative literature, has had a sonnet, Shakespeare's Early Death, accepted by The Shakespeare Newsletter, forthcoming in the spring issue. The poem suggest that Shakespeare practiced the best possible way of not dying of prostate cancer by dying at age 52, some time after he had discovered how to become immortal.
