12 September 2002 Air Monitoring in Response to the World Trade Center Disaster Talk

An Environmental Protection Agency chemical engineer will talk about this experiences monitoring the air at the World Trade Center site, and future implications of his findings.

September 12, 2002 GENEVA, N.Y.During the six months following September 11, 2001, Marcus Kantz, chemical engineer for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and his team were in charge of the ambient air quality monitoring associated with the EPA's response to the World Trade Center disaster.

Kantz will speak on Air Monitoring in Response to the World Trade Center Disaster at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19, in Albright Auditorium on the Hobart and William Smith Colleges campus.

Kantz will focus on his experiences during that monitoring program, the monitoring that was conducted, the results, and some future implications. He is in charge of quality assurance for air and water monitoring for the Region 2 Office of the federal Environmental Protection Agency. He received his master's in chemical engineering from University of Delaware.

The talk is free and the public is invited to attend.
