Richard Dillon, professor of anthropology, has written an article titled Boundary Work: American Ethnographers as Intercultural Communicators in Japan. The article is included in the latest issue of the International Journal of Intercultural Relations, a leading journal in the interculturalist field. In the article, Dillon draws theoretical and practical lessons about the possibilities for communication between Japanese and Americans by comparing four American fieldworkers' reflexive accounts of their research experiences in Japan.
