Kevin Dunn, assistant professor of political science, had his article Identity, Space, and the Political Economy of Conflict in Central Africa published in the recent issue of the journal Geopolitics (vol. 6, number 2). In the article, Dunn examines the current conflict in the African Great Lakes Region (Congo, Rwanda, Uganda, and Burundi) within a theoretical framework that emphasizes identity, spatial representations and practices, and the political economies of violence.
