6 February 2002 Cummings Has Sonnets Published in Shakespeare Newsletter

Peter Cummings, professor of English and comparative literature, has had five sonnets published in the most recent number of The Shakespeare Newsletter. The set of poems, titled Sonnets on Shakespeares Sonnets, seeks to enter the long-standing debate on the Sonnets by suggesting that criticism of the sequence is falsely engaged in biographical solutions and marked by too much paraphrase to appreciate the music and artistry of its language.
