30 January 2001 Buddhist Meditation at HWS Resumes
GENEVA, NY-Buddhist meditation with the Ven. Tenzin Yignyen has resumed for the semester at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. The meditation will be from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. Mondays, beginning February 5, in the Blackwell Room of St. John's Chapel on the HWS campus. Everyone is welcome.
The Ven. Tenzin Yignyen, a Buddhist monk, was born in the Tibetan village of Phari, and fled with his family to Bhutan after the 1959 Chinese invasion of Tibet. Monastery trained, he earned Master of Sutra and Tantra. He has taught at Hobart and William Smith Colleges since September 1998.
