“I give because I love the Colleges. Hobart and William Smith was a place that was special to me, my mother (’56) and now my son (’19). The Colleges allowed an upstate boy to explore the world, experience athletic championships, create lifelong friends and study abroad. It helped me develop confidence and fostered a passion for learning. It was also a beautiful and fun place to spend a youthful four years, and it gave me the foundation for a meaningful career. I believe that education is the best investment, and one that is critical for a free country. I only wish I could give more. In the meantime, I will try to keep giving you my children.”
