Hobart Hockey Dominates

The Statesmen skated through the season with a 29-1-1 record capturing— for the third year in a row—the NCAA DIII National Championship.
Hobart’s mastery on ice included a NCAA Division III record 53-game (and counting!) home winning streak, a NCAA men’s hockey record 44-game unbeaten streak, and a program record 33-game winning streak. ALPINE SKIING TEAMS QUALIFY FOR NATIONALS
The Statesman capped off their most successful season in program history at the 2025 USCSA National Championships in Bend, Oregon, finishing fifth out of 27 teams.
FOOTBALL RETURNS TO NCAA PLAYOFFS
With a 16-7 Homecoming win over defending Liberty League Champion Ithaca, Hobart began its charge to the 2024 conference title. The Statesmen went undefeated in league play and returned to the NCAA playoffs for the first time since 2016.
WILLIAM SMITH VOLLEYBALL MAKES 1ST NCAA APPEARANCE
The Heron volleyball team enjoyed an historic season last fall, posting a program record 22 wins against just seven losses, while earning its first NCAA tournament bid.
HOBART VOLLEYBALL ON THE RISE
The Statesmen volleyball team has been nationally ranked every week this season, climbing as high as No. 9 in the AVCA poll. Andrew Kim MHEL’25 broke the NCAA Division III career kills record during the seasonopening SUNY Poly Tournament.
DIVING TOWARD A TITLE
Hobart diver Daniel Barrientos ’26 qualified for the NCAA Division III National Championship Meet March 19-22 in Greensboro, North Carolina. He’s the first Statesman diver since 1992 to qualify for nationals.

WILLIAM SMITH LACROSSE OFF AND RUNNING
The fifth-ranked William Smith lacrosse team has been dominant in the early season, winning its first three games. Goalie Maura Smeader ’25 earned her 60th career win, breaking the program’s 21-year-old record.
