William A. Margiloff '92
CEO of IgnitionOne, Co-CEO and founder of Innovation Interactive
One of the early pioneers in the Internet marketing field, Will Margiloff '92 has helped revolutionize the digital advertising landscape, leading the use of new digital advertising formats and technologies.
As co-CEO and founder of Innovation Interactive, Margiloff is charged with the overall vision and strategic direction of the leading digital marketing company, which includes divisions 360i, Netmining and IgnitionOne, for which Margiloff also serves as CEO.
Founded in May of 2002, Innovation Interactive and its divisions manage more than $1 billion in media spend and manage social communities for clients such as Coca Cola, Apple, Oreo, Intercontinental Hotels, JCREW and Capital One.
As a division of Innovation Interactive, IgnitionOne offers clients the industry's first fully integrated Digital Marketing Suite (DMS), a centralized system for managing online data and user intent information for cross-channel attribution and in-depth marketing analysis. IgnitionOne powers billions in revenue each year for some of the world's leading online marketers, including General Motors, Chico's, Ann Taylor, Fiat and advertising agencies such as Digitas, MRM Worldwide, CyberAgent and more.
Margiloff has worked extensively with top consumer brands and is a regular speaker at industry events and investment conferences that focus on the Internet advertising industry, and is frequently quoted in publications ranging from Dow Jones to Ad Week.
Before founding Innovation Interactive, Margiloff was the senior vice president of advertising sales at the software services company Net2Phone, where he founded and ran the Internet sales group from 2000 to 2002. Prior to that, he was the vice president of sales and marketing for theglobe.com and previously served as vice president of east coast sales for 24/7 Media.
Margiloff graduated from Hobart College in 1992 with a B.A. in history and a minor in political science. As a student, Margiloff played baseball and was named to the NCAA Division III New York State All-Regional team in 1992. He was the recipient of the Johnny Brown '32 Baseball Trophy, which is presented to the most improved player.
Today, Margiloff serves his alma mater as a member of the HWS Board of Trustees, where he sits on the Enrollment Management, Institutional Advancement, and Capital Resources and Communications committees. He has also participated in the Professionals in Residence series and created the Margiloff Foundation Endowed Scholarship through the Margiloff Charitable Foundation.
