Alumni and Parent Biographical Data Disclaimer Statement

Hobart and William Smith Colleges Office of Advancement occasionally provides HWS alumni, parent and trustee volunteers with access to the biographical data of other HWS alumni, parents, trustees and members of the extended HWS family. Such information is used for Association research and outreach, reunion planning, class fundraising, and parent program outreach for admissions and fundraising.

To protect the privacy of alumni, parents, trustees and other members of the extended HWS family and the confidentiality of their biographical data, it is important for all those who have access to said data to adhere to the proper use and protection of the information provided. The information provided may include personal and professional addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, family information and, occasionally, giving information. Such information should not be shared, sold, or used for the intent of solicitation, for political or commercial purposes, or for the benefit of any other organization.

Failure to adhere to the proper use and protection of biographical information provided by the HWS Office of Advancement to alumni, parent and trustee volunteers may result in termination of volunteer status. Each Hobart and William Smith College alumni, parent and/or trustee volunteer is responsible for his/her/their actions.
