The Annual Fund is one of the most important ways our community invests in the HWS experience. Unrestricted gifts from alumni, parents and friends provide vital current-use support for academics, scholarships, internships and career preparation, global education and the experiences that help students discover their strengths and prepare for lives of consequence.

Annual giving provides HWS with the flexibility to direct resources where they can make the greatest difference. It helps make an HWS education accessible, supports faculty mentorship and research, expands experiential learning and strengthens the opportunities available to every student. It allows the College to respond to changing needs and pursue new opportunities with purpose.

As we build toward our Third Century, the Annual Fund represents a long-term commitment to the strength of Hobart and William Smith. An additional $125 million in annual giving will help sustain the excellence of the HWS experience, expand opportunity and ensure that the institution is prepared to meet the needs of future generations.
