The Phoenix Players is an organization dedicated to the exploration of different styles and forms of theatre, as well as support student artists in putting on a production. Additionally, the club welcomes all to join whether they are interested in costume design, stage design, lighting, writing, managing, acting, singing, dancing, and directing. This club is also intended to showcase the various talents of HWS students to the campus at large and it is a complement to the Theatre Department – to show the ways in which students are using what they learn in the classroom to the stage – although non Theatre students are encouraged to attend meetings.
Mission Statement:Phoenix Players will serve as a forum for discussion on theatre, as well as a creative entity to add culture and entertainment for the campus. The goal is to give students full reign over a production from start to finish whether performing student written plays or directing a published play.
Contact Richard Nix, if you would like to receive further information about meeting times and upcoming events.
