Bob came to Hobart and William Smith in 2004 as the director of the Salisbury Center for Career Services. In 2009, he accepted a position as the Vice President of Enrollment and Dean of Admissions. Bob has a B.S. in education and history from Norwich University as well as an M.Ed. in rehabilitation counseling and C.A.S. in student personnel administration, both from Springfield College. A former officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, he worked with Pepsi-Cola, serving as Chief Operating Officer of PepsiCo International in Istanbul among other roles, for 26 years before "retiring" to higher education. He is an honorary member of the Hobart Class of 2006.

John graduated from Colgate University with a bachelor's degree in history. He served as an assistant and associate director of admissions at Colgate for seven years, and then made a move to become Director of Admissions at Skidmore College. He joined the HWS staff in 2005.

Bill graduated from Hobart College in 1996 with a dual major in comparative literature and Greek. He completed his masters degree in liberal studies at Nazareth College. Before returning to his alma mater in 2005, Bill taught English at Avon Old Farms School and served as Head Lacrosse Coach at the University of Hartford. Currently, Bill recruits students from the Upstate New York, Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions.

Caitlin graduated from William Smith with dual majors in environmental studies and geoscience. She worked in the HWS office of admissions for two years before leaving to earn a masters in higher education administration from the University of Michigan. She later worked at a boarding school in Michigan, serving as a college counselor and dorm parent. She rejoined the HWS admissions team in 2010 as its New Hampshire recruiter.

James graduated from The College of Saint Rose in 2000 with a bachelor of arts in Spanish. In 2007, he earned a masters degree in professional school counseling from Sage Graduate School. Prior to accepting an appointment as the New York City regional recruiter for the HWS Office of Admissions, James served as assistant dean of admissions at Union College for three years. As the coordinator of multicultural recruitment, James enjoys working with students who are the first in their family to attend college or who represent diverse cultural, religious or ethnic backgrounds.

Lisa graduated from William Smith College in 2003 with a degree in economics. While at HWS, she was a member of the swimming and diving team, coached girls high school lacrosse and participated in various extracurricular activities. Upon graduation, she worked for a national real estate company, recruiting at the top executive level and responsible for divisions up and down the East Coast. She returned to HWS in 2010 accepting the position as a Mid-Atlantic regional recruiter based in Baltimore, Md. Lisa spends much of her time traveling throughout Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and parts of Connecticut, meeting with prospective students and high school counselors.
"I love meeting with prospective students, getting to know them and helping them get to know HWS. What's really great about this place is that your HWS experience doesn't end when you graduate. I keep in touch with my professors and I'm constantly running into alums, parents and other HWS community members throughout my travels."

Sue earned a bachelor's degree in history from William Smith College in 1999 and completed the education program. After earning a master's degree in history and serving as a graduate assistant soccer coach at Washington College, she returned to William Smith as assistant coach for the Herons in 2001. From there, Sue went on to coach soccer at both the NCAA Division I and III levels, before rejoining HWS in the Office of Admissions. She oversees the campus tour and works with tour guides, and is the athletic liaison for William Smith Athletics. Sue also recruits students from Alaska, Fairfield County, Conn., Southern California, and Westchester County, N.Y.

Marylyn earned a degree in psychology from Wells College, where she worked in admissions for five years after graduation. She joined the HWS admissions team in 2008 and currently oversees all on-campus events for prospective families.

Rebecca earned her B.A. in communication from Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, N.Y., and an M.S. in higher education from Syracuse University. She joined the admissions team in 2009 and currently oversees recruitment of prospective students in the midwest and Syracuse. Before coming to HWS, Rebecca worked as an admissions counselor at Wells College.
"It's so rewarding to see a student through the entire admissions process, and then watch them on campus in the fall, finding their niche in the community. That's really the best thing about this place; when I came to HWS, I immediately felt a great sense of community, and I know my students feel it, too."

James graduated from St. John Fisher College in 2000 with a bachelor of arts in history with a minor in education. Before joining the Admissions Office, he spent ten years as a teacher, most recently at a Syracuse-based alternative school, where he ran a computer-based learning program. James has coached college football at Morrisville State and Hobart College. He joined the HWS admissions team in 2011 as an Associate Director of Admissions and recruits students from New York State, specifically the Capital District, Southern Tier, and Western Region. James lives in Liverpool, N.Y. with his wife, Elizabeth, and their two children, Mikaila and Zachary.

Rafe completed his studies at Hobart College in 2008, earning a degree in chemistry. He was a standout defenseman on the Statesmen lacrosse team, serving as captain during his senior year. He joined the HWS admissions staff in 2009, responsible for meeting prospective HWS students in Rhode Island.
"I had a wonderful experience as a student at HWS. It's a great school in a great location. Geneva is full of places to eat, run, swim, golf and, of course, play lacrosse. You only get one opportunity and four short years to really enjoy your HWS experience. I encourage all of my prospective students to visit and see this place for themselves."

A dual major in international relations and Spanish and Hispanic studies at HWS, Katelyn moved to China after graduation, where she taught English and traveled extensively throughout Southeast Asia. She also held a position in health care benefits consulting. Katelyn returned to her alma mater and joined the HWS admissions team in 2009. She is currently responsible for recruiting in the Southeastern U.S., Hawaii, New Jersey, Colorado and Northern California, as well as working with international students.
"I grew up in Colorado, so I know what it's like to come from afar to attend college—that's why I love working with prospective students who aren't from the New York area. I've always felt a really strong connection to HWS, and I enjoy helping students find that connection, as well!"

Kate graduated from William Smith in 2007 with a bachelor of arts degree in individual studies – Diversity in the Workplace. Following graduation, Kate was the first AmeriCorps VISTA member at HWS, serving with the Center for Community Engagement and Service Learning. She later worked at Massachusetts Campus Compact, where she was the coordinator of student initiatives. Kate returned to HWS in 2012, accepting a position as a New England regional representative. Currently, she recruits in Maine and Massachusetts.

Kaitlin graduated from HWS in 2010 with a dual degree in international relations and religious studies. During her years at William Smith she participated in many of the activities, including alpine racing. She also spent a semester studying in Vietnam. She serves as the communications coordinator, and recruiting in the Finger Lakes Region, Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana.

Brian graduated from Hobart in 2011 with a degree in Africana Studies and a double minor in Sociology and English. As a student, Brian was on the Hobart basketball team for all four years of his undergraduate studies. In addition, Brian was inducted into the Druid Honor Society. For the Office of Admissions, Brian is responsible for the areas of Western Massachusetts, North Shore Massachusetts, Northern Connecticut, Vermont, Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, and Utah.

Rachael graduated from William Smith College in 2011 with a bachelor of arts in international relations. While at the Colleges, she worked for the Office of Admissions as a tour guide. As a student, she also ran cross country for two years, served on the executive board of Americans for Informed Democracy and studied abroad in Prague, Czech Republic. As the Assistant Director of Admissions and Visitor Relations, Rachael makes sure that all students and families get the most out of their visit to campus.
"I enjoy talking with students and their families about all that HWS has to offer. I loved my four years as a student at the Colleges and take great pleasure in sharing those experiences with prospective students and families about HWS."
