The English Country Dancing Club, started in the fall of 2012, meets weekly with a caller and pianist in the Hirshson Ballroom. In the spring of 2013 the club hosted its first contradance and will continue to host a few contradances each semester. Everyone who can walk with music playing can learn to dance English Country!
Mission Statement:To gather people together through social dancing Meeting:We meet every Friday from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the Hirshson Ballroom, but please feel free to come and go as necessary. Dan Seppeler calls the dances, and his wife Barb Seppeler accompanies us on the piano. If you can walk, you can dance English Country!
In April 2013, we hosted our first contra dance. We hope to hold more during the coming semesters.
We encourage you to wear comfortable clothing and soft-soled shoes.
Contact Meredith Groman, if you would like to receive further information about meeting times and upcoming events.
