Annual Giving Reaches Record Level
7/2/2007 - The Fund for Hobart and William Smith, the Colleges’ annual fund, closed the books on a record-setting year. More than $2.88 million was raised for the 2007 fund year, the highest ever on record for the Colleges.

11/4/2006 - The Katherine D. Elliott Studio Arts Center and The Goldstein Family Carriage House were dedicated on Nov. 4, 2006 as Hobart and William Smith Colleges took yet another step forward in a long series of capital projects.

Campaign Events

Over the next several months, alumni, alumnae, parents and friends of Hobart and William Smith Colleges will gather all across the country to celebrate Campaign for the Colleges and all that it will accomplish.

Hobart and William Smith announced the most ambitious fundraising effort in the Colleges’ history on Sept. 21 at Lincoln Center. The national kickoff of Campaign for the Colleges was a grand event.

More than 1,500 supporters of Hobart and William Smith Colleges came to the Robert A. Bristol '31 Field House for the Campus Launch of Campaign for the Colleges. The kickoff included student performances, the Colleges' campaign film, dinner and dancing.

An enthusiastic and committed group of alums and parents joined forces to host the Boston Launch celebration of Campaign for the Colleges at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. The program was highlighted by reflections from Boston area alums.

HWS alumni, alumnae, parents and friends gathered during a pair of launch events in Florida: an east coast event, hosted by Trustee Jane Napier P'89, was held at The Bear's Club in Jupiter; and a west coast event, hosted by Dan and Cindy Accordino P'04, at the Naples Grande Resort and Club. The programs were highlighted by reflections from Florida alums.

Members of the HWS community gathered as three alums reflected on the transforming experiences they had as students of Hobart and William Smith. Hosts Jay '98 and Julie '99 Flower welcomed a large crowd at the Portland Harbor Hotel in Portland, Maine.

Alumni, alumnae, parents and friends gathered last week at the Washington Golf and Country Club and The Maryland Club to celebrate Campaign for the Colleges.

Supporters of the Colleges gathered in the impressive Wilma Theater to celebrate Campaign for the Colleges. The evening, hosted by Peggy Bokan Greenawalt ’66, featured reflections from Emily W. Earll ’08, Diane-Louise Wormley ’70, Stuart S. Piltch’82 and Ellen Arnold Groff ’67, P’93.

Hobart and William Smith Colleges joined forces with alumni, alumnae and friends of the Colleges to host two incredible celebrations in California: at the Olympic Club in San Francisco on Friday, March 23; and at Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles on Saturday, March 24.

Langdon P. and Lyn G Cook P'99, P'05 welcomed Colleges community members to the Round Hill Club on Wednesday, April 25.

Bert McCooey Jr. '76 P'04 P'09 and Lori McCooey P'04 P'09 hosted a Campaign celebration at the Westhampton Country Club on Saturday, July 21.
