While continuous investments in the Colleges’ programs and people are made through endowment and current support, capital projects build the campus infrastructure. With a vision and a master plan in place, the Colleges are now meeting the needs of today’s students and faculty. From classrooms to team rooms, our academic spaces, residence halls and athletic spaces are being built and renovated.

After intensive strategic planning that created the HWS 2005 initiative, the Colleges, led by President Mark D. Gearan, began undertaking the most sweeping facilities initiative in the Colleges’ history.

During the Campaign the Colleges are seeking $65 million for facilities.

The initial capital projects were included in the advanced-giving stage of the Campaign for the Colleges and included

During the remainder of the Campaign, the Colleges will move forward with other critical campus improvements. These include

The Katherine D. Elliott Studio Arts Center is part of an overhaul of the Houghton House Estate. This project ensures the further growth of the visual and architectural arts at HWS.
