GUIDELINES FOR PROPER CHECK-OUT OF STUDENT ROOMS

  1. Attend your floor/house/zoom meeting.
  2. All posters, hanging objects, tape, tacks, and nails must be removed from the ceiling, walls, and door.
  3. Remove and properly dispose of all personal furniture including rugs, chairs, and couches.
  4. Empty and remove all contents in closets, desks, and bureaus.
  5. All trash and recycling should be bagged and taken out to the designated dumpster for your area. There will be a $25.00 minimum clean up charge for any room not properly cleaned. Trash and recycling bags are available upon request.
  6. Return all library books, Saga utensils, and rented textbooks.
  7. College furniture must be assembled and in the same condition as when you moved in.
  8. Remove and return all lounge and study room furniture.
  9. Students should not attempt to do any repairs to items broken or vandalized in their room.  This could result in additional work for college staff and greater cost to you.
  10. Return your key(s) to your check out location before you leave for the summer.  Students who do not return their keys will be charged for the necessary lock change and creation of new keys.

SUMMER STORAGE

The Colleges cannot provide an on-campus option for students looking to hold things in storage over the summer. We recommend reviewing the information for Dorm Room Movers. The company will pick up your items, store them safely all summer, and return them to campus upon your return in August. *Fees charged directly to student.

The Impact of COVID-19

Students are permitted to bring up to 2 guests to help them move out of their room/suite. All students and guests are required to wear face masks and practice social distancing for the entirety of their time on campus. We encourage you to talk to your roommate(s)/suitemate(s) about your move out plans. We recommend scheduling your move out on different days to help with social distancing.

Walk-in testing, in addition to routine testing, will be available May 3rd – May 7th for any student who wishes to get a test before traveling. We cannot accommodate testing for friends and family who help you move out.
