During this period away from Bristol Field House and HWS Recreation’s programs and services, it is important to remain active and exercise!

HWS Rec Staff has compiled a list of alternate options to substitute for our traditional offerings.

As the semester continues be on the look out for additional suggestions. Any questions or comments please email recreation@hws.edu.

Please Note: By participating in and utilizing Hobart and William Smith Colleges Department of Recreation's virtual classes, recordings, and suggested resources, you acknowledge and understand you are voluntarily participating in an activity that can be potentially dangerous and can result in serious injury. This agreement of Risk and Hold Harmless shall be governed by the laws of New York State, without regard to conflicts of law principles.

It is advised that you seek permission from a health care professional before starting an exercise routine, since Hobart and William Smith Colleges has not made any assessment on your health, fitness or skill level to participate in this activity.

Everyone is a different level of fitness, it is important to self-direct during these videos and recordings and use of other online resources and only work at an intensity level that is appropriate for yourself. Be aware of tripping hazards, and if pain is associated with any movement stop immediately. By continuing to engage with these videos, recordings, and other online resources you hereby assume all risk, not limited to, what was stated above.

HWS Rec Physical Activity Tracker Program

The HWS Daily Physical Activity Tracker Program is aimed to help the HWS community meet the recommended weekly amount of physical activity. HWS Recreation Department will keep track of participants - students, faculty and staff - information, send out individual and universal program updates, and provide feedback on ways participants can progress and stay active.

HWS Rec Live Virtual Fitness Sessions

Starting Monday, June 1st, to help the HWS Community remain engaged and active throughout the summer, HWS Recreation is providing virtual fitness sessions! All sessions will be held weekly until further notice! So get into a routine and establish a healthy habit!
