Day 1 (Friday, May 6) - Lima

  • Arrive in Lima in the evening, where you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay in Miraflores, the tourist district of Lima.

Day 2 (Saturday, May 7) - Lima

  • After breakfast, enjoy a private city tour of Lima, including the Plaza de Armas, cathedral, catacombs, financial district of San Isidro and tourist district of Lima.
  • Explore or relax on your own in the afternoon.
  • Dinner included at La Rosa Nautica.
  • Overnight in Lima.

Day 3 (Sunday, May 8) - Lima/Cuzco/Ollantaytambo

  • After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Cuzco.
  • Upon arrival in Cuzco, enjoy lunch at the Alma restaurant (in the Casa Andina Private Collection hotel) and then travel to the Sacred Valley with a visit to Chinchero en route.
  • Dinner included at Pakaritampu Hotel.
  • Overnight in Ollantaytambo.

Day 4 (Monday, May 9) - Ollantaytambo

  • Tour the fortress of Ollantaytambo in the morning.
  • Lunch included at Sol y Luna.
  • Explore or relax on your own in the afternoon.
  • Overnight in Ollantaytambo.


Day 5 (Tuesday, May 10) - Pisac

  • Take a private tour of the market town at Pisac and the fortress of the same name. You will have time to spend shopping or exploring the town.
  • Lunch included at Royal Inka Pisac Hotel.
  • Overnight in Ollantaytambo.

Day 6 (Wednesday, May 11th) – Ollantaytambo/Machu Picchu

  • Take a leisurely train ride to Machu Picchu. Upon arrival you will take a bus up to the site entrance and begin your guided tour of the citadel (two hours).
  • Explore the ruins at your leisure.
  • Dinner included at El Indio Feliz restaurant.
  • Overnight in Aguas Calientes/Machu Picchu area.

Day 7 (Thursday, May 12) - Machu Picchu/Cuzco

  • Free day to spend in the Machu Picchu area to re-visit the ruins (separate entrance fee) or relax at the local Hot Springs.
  • Take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where you will be met by a driver. Here you can pick up your bags stored at the Pakaritampu before you return to Cuzco by private van.
  • You will be transferred directly to your hotel in Cuzco.
  • Dinner included at Chi Cha restaurant in Cuzco.


Day 8 (Friday, May 13) – Cuzco

  • Take a private city tour of Cuzco, visiting the cathedral, Temple of the Sun Korikancha, Sacsayhuaman, Puka Pukara, Tambo Machay and Quenqo.
  • Lunch included at the Inka Grill.
  • Spend the afternoon and evening in Cuzco at your leisure.

Day 9 (Saturday, May 14) - Cuzco/Lima

  • Flight from Cuzco to Lima. In Lima, you can store your luggage in the airport lockers.
  • You will be picked up by a driver and spend the afternoon at the Larcomar, an outdoor mall, where you can shop, sit at a café, have a bite to eat or walk along the cliffs above the ocean.
  • Your driver will take you on your return transfer to the airport in good time for your overnight international flight that leaves in the late evening.
  • You will arrive in Newark on the morning of Sunday, May 15.
