When Do I Register?

SPRING 2022:

EARLY REGISTRATION: Register By Entry Class and Year Level Classification – Check your PeopleSoft Student Center for your registration appointment time.

Students are encouraged to utilize the early registration period to increase the likelihood of obtaining your choice of course and/or section. REMEMBER - advising is required as part of course registration. You will not be able to register before the designated registration period for your class. Web-registration begins at 7:30 a.m. on the first day of your scheduled registration period (by entry cohort and by year level/classification) and is available 24 hours/day during this time period. If you get a delay of greater than 5 minutes after you press the “finish enroll” button, contact the Help Desk at 781-4357 or the Registrar’s Office at 781-3651. Do not get discouraged. Just keep trying.

Each class will have TWO DAYS ONLY to early register for classes. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. according to the registration schedule below:

Students who have had a year level classification change will still be allowed to register with their entry class. Check your assigned registration appointment time in your PeopleSoft Student Center.

Registration for students abroad and students who were studying in an HWS Abroad Program in Fall 2021

Begins 7:30 a.m. October 29 - November 12, 2021

Registration for transfer students

Begins 7:30 a.m. November 1-12, 2021

Registration for current Seniors (Classes of 2022)

Begins 7:30 a.m. November 1-2, 2021

Registration for current Juniors (Classes of 2023)

Begins 7:30 a.m. November 3-4, 2021

Registration for current Sophomores (Classes of 2024)

Begins 7:30 a.m. November 5-6, 2021

Registration for current First Years (Classes of 2025)

Begins 7:30 a.m. November 11-12, 2021


OPEN ENROLLMENT: If you miss the early registration period, you may register during the open enrollment period.

All students will have a second opportunity to register for classes during the open enrollment period which begins on November 13, 2021 and ends on January 28, 2022. REMEMBER - advising is required as part of course registration. Web registration is available 24 hours/day during this time period.

Non-Matriculated Student Enrollment:
Students who are not candidates for a degree are admitted to courses only with approval of the respective college’s dean and permission from the instructor, who determines their qualifications to undertake the work. Students must complete a Non-Matriculated Student Application Form and submit it to the respective Dean of the College, Smith Hall.

Registration for your course or courses may begin:

For Spring 2022 Term, the date that Non-Matriculated students may begin enrollment is January 24, 2022 – January 28, 2022.

Graduate Attendee Registration:
Graduate Attendees must complete a Non-Matriculated Student Application Form. After acceptance into the program as a non-matriculated student, a Graduate Attendee Registration Form must be completed and submitted to the respective Dean of the College, Smith Hall.

Registration for your course or courses may begin:

For Spring 2022 Term Graduate Attendee registration is: January 24, 2022 – January 28, 2022.

DROP/ADD:

  1. Spring Semester 2022 Drop/Add week is January 24, 2022 – January 28, 2022
  2. You are encouraged to discuss changes with your adviser in advance. An instructor signature for the course add or for the course drop is not required during the published drop/add period unless the course is CLOSED, you do not meet pre-requisites, or the course carries the footnote "permission needed from Instructor."
  3. After January 28, 2022, please refer to the policy section on Dropping and Adding Courses beyond the Drop/Add period.

J-TERM 15-DAY PROGRAM, JANUARY 4 - 19, 2022:

Important Advising and Registration Information Regarding J-Term 15-Day Program

Online Registration for J-Term 15 Day Program is: Monday, November 13, 2021 through December 17, 2021. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.

Registration is an open enrollment process. Please schedule an appointment with your primary adviser during advising week beginning October 25, 2021. All students must have their adviser hold released by their primary adviser in order to begin loading the shopping cart and validating course selections via the Student Center. This must occur prior to the beginning of online registration. Once the adviser hold is released, the hold will be removed for J-Term and Spring Semester 2022 registration. Be sure to check for any other holds in your Student Center.

Important Dates:

  • J-Term Online Registration: November 13 – December 17, 2021.
  • 1st Day of Classes for J-Term: January 4, 2022.
  • Drop/Add for J-Term: January 4, 2022 - ONE DAY ONLY.
  • Last Day of Classes for J-Term: January 19, 2022.
  • Last day to withdraw from a course: January 19, 2022.
  • Official grades for incompletes are submitted by the instructor to the registrar by: March 7, 2022.
  • Last day to change from a graded course to CR/NC/DCR is: March 21, 2022.
  • Last day to submit final grades January 26, 2021.
