Job Responsibilities

The Summer International Enrollment Internship will support the Director of International Student Enrollment and Success with outreach to prospective students while also offering support to newly enrolled international students. They will introduce the Colleges’ campus curriculum and programs to prospective students and their families by participating in virtual recruitment events and through general correspondence. The intern will also be an essential part of the planning and implementation of International Student Orientation which takes place in the days prior to the more formal campus wide orientation. General office tasks such as answering phones, running errands and special projects will also be assigned.


  • Develop a comprehensive international student orientation that includes ways the international community can engage with one another as well as the extended campus and Geneva communities
  • Communicate regularly with the incoming international students assist with travel planning and general information ahead of their arrival to campus
  • Assist in the development of online resources that can assist international students prior to and after arrival
  • Participate in virtual college fairs and conduct regular outreach to prospective students that will promote awareness of HWS throughout the world
  • Providing prospective students with information and assistance regarding admissions application procedures and timelines and establishing a continuum of personalized communication with prospective candidates
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Demonstrate a firm knowledge of the Colleges’ educational philosophy and mission 
  • Be familiar with HWS campus, programs, services, departments, etc.
  • Be flexible and adaptable and able to work independently (minimal on-site supervision)
  • Be highly reliable (at work on-time or call in advance)
  • At least 1 semester of residency at HWS or in Geneva
