Job Responsibilities

The primary focus of the Social Media Coordinator will be to develop and create digital content which will be used to market Centennial Center events and programs throughout the academic year.  Designs will be used and created for various social media platforms.

The Coordinator will work collaboratively with Centennial Center staff to understand the goal of the various designs as well as develop ideas.  The Coordinator will assist all members of Centennial Center staff to create consistent and varying brand materials across all digital channels. The Coordinator will also assist on product photoshoots and art direction as well as take the lead on creative initiatives when needed and manage these projects with limited assistance. The Coordinator will bring a high level of creativity attention to detail and efficiency while working under tight deadlines and on multiple projects simultaneously. The Coordinator will support programming for the fall 2020 semester with potential for renewal for the academic year. This position will primarily work remotely.

Required Skills:

  • Overall sense of creativity
  • Knowledge of Adobe’s Photoshop, Illustrator and/or InDesign
  • Able to navigate the website Canva (or a similar design website)
  • Able to navigate different social media platforms
  • Background knowledge of the Centennial Center and its programs
  • Excellent organizational and management skills
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent written skills
  • Ability to work within teams across multiple functions and levels
  • Ability to work independently as appropriate - self starter
