POSITION SUMMARY
The Department of Recreation would not be able to successfully carry out its mission without student employees. The Social Media & Marketing Student Manager will assist promoting HWS Recreation’s programs and services by developing and maintaining social media accounts along with other marketing tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with promotion of department’s programs & services by developing & producing weekly social media content for various platforms.
  • Take weekly photos and videos to effectively capture & promote HWS REC’s culture and the participant experience.
  • Help create & distribute semester group fitness & intramural sports program and special event posters.
  • Assist with developing facility and informational signage

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Background knowledge in both digital & print marketing tools (i.e., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, email, posters/flyers).
  • Has a talent for writing & design, being innovative and creative.
  • Works well independently to successfully complete projects and tasks.
  • Good organization, time management skills, and attention to detail.
  • Availability to work 8 to 10 hours per week and on some weekends.
  • A willingness to learn, grow as a leader, and be a part of a team.
