Assistant Professor - Tenure Track Position
Media and Society Program
The Media and Society Program at Hobart and William Smith Colleges invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the Advanced Assistant Professor level beginning fall 2014. One of the largest majors on campus, our interdisciplinary program fosters a critical analysis of the media's pervasive influence on society and the individual. Currently, we offer classes in film, television, and new media studies, documentary and narrative production, and industry studies (see our website for specific classes). We seek a colleague who can contribute to these topics and offer new areas of research and teaching experience, particularly in global media studies. Preference will be given to candidates with at least two years experience teaching within an interdisciplinary liberal arts curriculum at the introductory, intermediate, and advanced levels. Ph.D. required.
