The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Hobart and William Smith Colleges invites applications for up to three visiting faculty positions in mathematics to begin in the Fall of 2014. This is a one-year full-time leave replacement position. A strong commitment to teaching is required. Duties include teaching five undergraduate mathematics courses over two semesters. Experience with and/or interest in working in a multicultural environment are highly desirable.
Candidates with a Ph.D. in mathematics by August 2014 are strongly preferred but A.B.D. with teaching experience will be considered.
Evaluation of applications begins March 1, 2014 and will continue until the position is filled. An application should include a cover letter, a statement of teaching philosophy, three letters of recommendation (at least one including comments on teaching), and a graduate transcript (scanned copy acceptable).
