IT Services staff will help a person or group define work processes they want to optimize, or issues they want to correct. Staff members provide an analysis of the processes, their dependencies across campus, and other factors to propose a solution. The resulting solution may include commercial or custom applications or process re-engineering. IT Services will facilitate the implementation and support of the solution. Availability of supporting resources may affect the solution agreed upon.
IT Services staff will meet with an individual or office to discuss the problem. IT Services staff will provide guidance on ascertaining the cause of the problem, the office or offices involved, and the effects of potential solutions, so the best solution may be determined.
Prices will vary depending on the solution. Built or purchased software costs are not covered by IT Services.
Planning a solution may take weeks or months. Actual timelines are determined on a case-by-case basis.
IT Services staff members make sure that any new software fits in with what is currently supported on campus; therefore, solutions that do not meet these criteria will not be implemented.
