After Election Day: Discussion Downtown

Posted on Monday, November 12, 2012

To examine the results of the presidential election and what a Democrat control of the White House could mean for the next four years, Professor of Political Science Iva Deutchman will join Assistant Professor of Political Science Joseph Mink and Associate Professor of Political Science DeWayne Lucas in an election discussion on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. at the Finger Lakes Gifts & Lounge on Seneca Street in Geneva.

Each will give her or his expert opinion on the ramifications of President Barack Obama's re-election from theoretical, historical and practical perspectives. Members of the HWS and Geneva communities are invited to engage in the discussion, and a question and answer time will comprise a large portion of the panel.

Deutchman will bring to the panel her expertise on modern American conservatism, while Lucas will provide detailed congressional and senatorial knowledge. Mink will offer his background in the history of elections.
