This semester's Trias Reading Series will draw to a close with a reading by Wells Tower on Thursday, Nov. 15. The short story and non-fiction writer will give a reading of his work at 7:30 p.m. in the Hirshson Ballroom.
Best known for his short story collection "Everything Ravaged, Everything Burned," Tower is the recipient of two Pushcart Prizes and has been named by the New Yorker as one of the magazine's "20 under 40" luminary fiction writers. His work has also been selected to Houghton Mifflin's annual anthology "Best American Short Stories 2010."
Tower's short stories and journalistic pieces have also appeared in numerous publications including The New Yorker, Harper's Magazine, McSweeney's, The Paris Review, The Anchor Book of New American Short Stories and The Washington Post Magazine.
The Trias Residency for Writers is supported by The Peter Trias Endowed Fund for Poetry and Creative Writing that was established through a generous bequest from Peter J. Trias '70.
