Why did you choose Hobart and William Smith Colleges? The reasons were many: the perfect size, only about 6 hours from home by car, the coordinate system, I loved the Finger Lakes, a school that encouraged students to take a term or two abroad or to do an internship, and a school that encouraged students to get involved and to give back.

How do you stay connected to the Colleges? I’ve been actively involved in the Admissions Volunteer Network since graduating; I am also active with the Salisbury Center for Career Services and have had two HWS interns work for me during the summer. I also served as Co-Chair of 25th and 30th Reunions.

Why do you give back to HWS? Giving back is in my DNA. I love the Colleges and all that they have to offer and have offered me.  I want to see them grow and thrive so generations to come will be able to have access to the amazing experiences that I did.  Giving back is my small way of ensuring this is the case.

What are your goals as a Regional Network volunteer? To create greater awareness of the Colleges on the West Coast, to drive an increased number of prospective students to apply/to attend and to get West Coast alums more involved - to donate money, to support the effort of the Salisbury Center for Career, Professional and Experiential Education, to network with other alums on the West Coast and to have fun!
