Major: Sociology

In what significant ways did you benefit from your experience at HWS: I learned to work for a boss at WEOS, a very valuable lesson in managing a fragile male ego. I learned how to write, analyse, synthesize, and summarize complex topics. I learned to look at the world from a number of points of view, recognizing that no one POV captures it all. I learned how to compromise, but also how to be passionate about important things, and how to recognize what is really important rather than what is really pretty trivial.

What was the worst thing that happened to you at HWS: I wasted a huge amount of time that could have been productive and fun.

What was the best thing that happened to you at HWS: I critiqued sociology as a discipline and got an A for my efforts.
