Pre-Trip To The Dingle Peninsula

April 24 - 26, 2018

We are offering a three day trip to the Dingle Peninsula before the trip starts if there is enough interest. The Dingle Peninsula has the largest concentration of archeological sites in the world and it has beautiful coastal scenery and good craic (“craic” is Irish for good times) in the pubs. The cost for the Dingle pre-trip is $700.00 per person.

Day 1 Tuesday, April 24, 2018
If you want to participate in this trip you would arrive at Shannon Airport on Tuesday, April 24th and we would gather at the airport and start on our way to Dingle Town at 9:00 am. We will travel there stopping along the way to visit sites of interest and enjoying the scenery. We will arrive in Dingle Town in late afternoon and gather for dinner as a group. After dinner you are on your own to catch up on sleep or explore the town.

Day 2 Wednesday, April 25, 2018
Our guide will take us to some of the archeological sites around the peninsula and answer any questions you might have about the area and its history. After the tour your time is your own to explore Dingle Town which boasts of being the best “Foodie Town” in Ireland, having taken over recently from Kinsale in County Cork. Dingle Town also has unique pubs in which you can shop for shoes, or hardware while you are having a pint or two.

Day 3 Thursday, April 26, 2018
After checking out of the hotel, we will motor towards Limerick and after a few stops along the way visit some local sites and then stay at a hotel near the airport where we will meet the rest of the group when they arrive the next morning to start the regular tour.
